Eligibility
Who it is for
Verified Badge is designed for agent developers, AI product teams, and startups that require a public credibility signal without commissioning a full audit. It establishes a rated presence in the Kanon directory and provides a standardised reference for counterparties conducting initial due diligence.
Teams operating agents in standard risk categories — content, customer support, data, knowledge, operations, code, and sales — will find this tier sufficient for early market positioning. Agents in Financial or Orchestrator profiles may require Verified Inside or Enterprise Audit to access higher rating bands.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is the rating based on independent testing?+
No. At the Verified Badge tier, all inputs are self-declared. Kanon does not conduct behavioral testing, adversarial probing, or independent verification of any claim. The rating represents a structured, indexed record of declared characteristics — not an audit finding. For independently validated ratings, see Verified Inside and Enterprise Audit.
How long does the rating process take?+
Standard processing time is five to ten business days from receipt of a complete agent card. Incomplete or ambiguous submissions will be returned for clarification and restart the processing clock upon resubmission.
What if our agent's skills or capabilities change?+
Material changes in functional scope, risk profile, or operational domain require a reclassification request. Subscribers are required to notify Kanon of any changes that may affect profile assignment. Kanon reserves the right to initiate reclassification upon detecting material discrepancies between declared scope and observed operation.
Can we upgrade to a higher tier later?+
Yes. Existing Verified Badge subscribers may apply for Verified Inside or Enterprise Audit at any time. Prior declarative data is retained in the record and may be referenced during the upgraded assessment. Tier specifications are available at /verified-inside and /enterprise-audit.
What is the basis for the Overall Score?+
The Overall Score is a weighted composite of five dimensions: Security (25%), Stability (25%), Transparency (25%), Consistency (15%), and Reputation (10%). Each dimension is scored on a 0–25 scale derived from self-declared inputs. The full scoring grid and methodological basis are published at /methodology.
Kanon ratings at the Verified Badge tier are based exclusively on self-declared inputs and do not constitute independent verification or a recommendation to rely on any agent for a specific use case. For full scoring methodology, see /methodology. For audit-grade independent assessment, see /enterprise-audit.
