About Kanon
Kanon is an independent rating authority that publishes structured assessments of AI agents and AI products. Ratings are produced under a versioned, publicly available methodology — the Kanon Taxonomy — and cover five dimensions: security, stability, transparency, consistency, and reputation.
Kanon was established in 2025 to address a specific absence in the AI ecosystem: the lack of a neutral, methodology-driven record of agent characteristics accessible to institutional buyers, procurement teams, and regulators. The organisation operates without commercial affiliation to the agents it rates.
Ratings are assigned across nine functional profiles defined by the Kanon Taxonomy, from standard commercial agents to financial and orchestrator profiles. Where applicable, published scores are cross-referenced with recognised frameworks including NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, and the EU AI Act — on an indicative basis, not as certification.
